Overall it's a nice tower & will make an impact, especially on the river and on the Kennedy. Just seems like they squeezed 3 buildings on a site that should be 1 or 2 taller ones. But between the apparent view corridor obstacle and the ability to realize revenue sooner on the first of 3 towers, we are getting this underwhelming scheme (for the next 70+ years).
Whats this apparel center view corridors nonsense about?...Apparel center is an office building that would of had its views blocked by another bigger office building...not sure what else more there is to it...the site was really perfect for 1 large statement building as mentioned ... so much potential lost...Normally these 3 buildings anywhere else in city would be praised with solid grades but the site location is just so unique there is no where else in the city that can ever match it... The motto of "make no small plans" has been lost in this city for awhile now.

More glasswork on the east face. Really awesome detail work. I'm not sure if the recessed sections serve a purpose or just decoration. But given this and the amount of setbacks/edges/ledges on this building I think it's going to be really stunning - especially at river level when completed.

It definitely serves to deliver more depth in the overall massing and design at the base/pedestrian level than just a square box. I don't know if it serves a functional purpose from a revenue standpoint as it decreases leaseable square footage on those floors. But it may also serve a purpose of getting more natural light to the lobby level, especially on the side opposite the river.

I'm thinking the recessed glass is how they're venting the mechanical space, instead of using louvers.

If that's the case, well done. They should head east and "fix" St. Regis after they're done.

The elevators have reached the bottom of the high rise set it would appear.

Yeah, on close inspection, you can actually see screening on the panels purportedly to function as vents

Core narrowing finally. Think they're right about at 39 or 40.

I walked past this today on my way into the office, and not gonna lie, the glass is pretty banal.

Wow, almost fully leased now. I hope Hines is kicking themselves for not pushing for a taller development!

Yeah, yeah, I know ... narrow building footprint makes a taller building difficult with the elevator cores eating up more leasable space, etc.

Hopefully 300 N LaSalle finds tenants to fill up that 600k sq ft. A tight office market may bring us another significant office building before this current boom fades?
