I don't understand the desire for a new design for the second tower, the project as twin towers looks awesome.

Was home for a few days after almost a year and took these pictures on 3 different days. Love how beefy the south loop is looking from the orange line and the expressway from Pilsen/chinatown.

It's already taller than The Grant, and it will soon overtake One Museum Park. It'll look pretty awesome from this intersection.

Won't this thing have major thermal bridging issues? Exposed floor slabs with no break...

There is a spray on product called Aerolon that you apply to the top and underside of the slab 24” either side of the exterior wall that insulates the slab there and prevents thermal bridging. Much cheaper than a mechanical separation. There are other products tha do this too but I am using this product on another high rise project.

Freaking so sexy. It's amazing how much that area has been built up in the past 10 years.

The way the white contrasts with the glass is simply stunning. Great photos!

I agree, it is gorgeous. Makes for one of the first buildings to catch your eye when heading into the city from the Dan Ryan. The white and black facade is a great compliment to the all black Sears Tower.

Nice shots. Big building. Appears they're about 60 floors up meaning about 20 more to go (i.e. 75% done for floors until being topped out).
