It's designed to look like exposed steel I-beams. What is the facade made out of?

Love this design so much.

I wonder if this is the final color or just a demo of the form. I prefer the brownish hue in some renderings - looks like the US Steel building in Pittsburgh and also kinda mirrors the 'Chicago Brown' of the drawbridges. Anyone know?

I'm glad Adjmi's designs in Fulton Market aren't an exact copy of their stuff in Tribeca

A mock-up like that costs a significant amount of money to build. The colors are the architects selections. The only reason they would change is if someone from ownership or the design team was unhappy with the mock-up.

One of the construction workers approached me and reminded me that we'd met... Hell, decade and a 1/2 ago during the South Loop boom. It was nice seeing you again and thank's for jogging my memory. We've now both seen the South & West Loop grow vertically.

That's true. But it's also inside of a pole barn somewhere in Wisconsin with halogen lighting, so it may look more brownish under natural light and certainly at dusk/sunset (the renderings were set at this time of day IIRC).

cladding color

The Morris Adjmi photos are more indicative of the actual color, more a very dark gray than the brown in the renderings. Yes BVic, it is a small world.

Dang. Construction started 4 months ago almost on the dot. Are they going to have people moving in before the end of next year?

By the rate they're moving, we'll have this skyline changing skyscraper up before 2022 ends! Very exciting news and loving the pace they're working at.
