i think it is important for people to remember, no matter how small something seems, we live in a rain forest and rain can be unpredictable. see last November with the flooding. and since we are supposed to be all building for climate change, who knows what can happen. i don't know, I'm just leery about how well this will work in our climate. i mean i hope it works well! though i am not sure yet.

thats good about the drain. i do like linear drains, i hope the clean the muck out on a regular basis though.

I saw those stairs taped off a few days ago and wondered what was up, and I'm still wondering.

Most likely scenario from Vancouver House, where the stairs transition from regular stairs to that weird angled mess will magically turn into a garden.

Low elevation lobby and messy stairs caused by the combination of a view cone height limit and desire for a West Georgia address / lobby door (versus Homer side).

You can see how low the ceiling is in the elevator lobby:

I also think that the steel edge on the planter is a hazard (back-breaker) is anyone falls on it. It's like a knife edge. It should be trimmed to the same height as the concrete wall behind it or folded over the concrete wall to make it wider, or made taller to reduce the possibility of falling onto it.

That bank signage must have gone up Saturday, as it wasn't there on Friday.

If you look at the original photos of the stairs they sort of disappeared because of how it interfaced with the sidewalk. They aren't changing the sidewalk so they will most likely just block off the areas that aren't standard sidewalk heights to prevent tripping hazards.

Maybe expect to see something like at The Post - with barriers and a narrow staircase.

Yes, it does look sharp.

I think it actually went up in early April.
