Woah this is impressive, especially considering the building got an overhaul not that long ago. These renderings are a major upgrade. Also excited to see 827 Carondelet down the street from there moving forward. I've always thought that building had major potential.

^^^^ Nice. Hoping there's going to be a grocery store for the area. I know there's a Walmart nearby, but it's already overcrowded. A Trader Joe's or Whole Foods would be nice for the neighborhood.

Def doubt trader joes since they are coming to tulane., but def could see some sort of foodies type place like maybe a Foxtrot (foxtrotco.com) or something of that style. The full size grocery and gym place was orignally planned for the spot where top golf is going so i doubt we will see a full size grocery or that there is even the setup for one.,

Forgot all about the Trader Joe's on Tulane. I never in a million years would've thought Tulane Avenue would look the way it does now lol. And it's not even all the way cleaned up yet.

But yeah, it would definitely need to be a smaller sized spot. I can see something like Foxtrot working there. Or even something like the Rouses they built on Freret. Small footprint, but very nice.

I can't remember if that River District rendering is the first confirmation of a planned soccer stadium or not.

It really looks pretty impressive. I'll be happy to see this get going.

I would love to see an Amazon Go / Amazon Fresh in the area.

The views from some of the seats in that soccer stadium should be pretty great, especially once they update the lighting on the CCC.

Wow New Orleans is actually getting new office high rises ( I didn’t think it was possible !!! lol )So when does construction actually start on the River District? Also speaking of Tulane; any new developments on Charity or is it still slowed down ?

It's being / has been rebranded as a Caesars. And yeah they're building a hotel tower on the side closest to the river

with the exception of the top golf I wouldnt expect much of anything else in river district to be finished by the super bowl in 2025

I don't think those office towers will get built anytime soon. There's still very weak demand for office space nationally and even the strongest markets like NYC and Chicago are in crisis mode.

I agree it'll be a while, but I do think a difference here is that there hasn't been significant new stock in a long time. New Orleans wasn't on an office building spree over the last 20 years like NYC and Chicago were and has mostly been just renovating existing buildings. I think of the Plaza Tower as the one remaining large office building that's not been put back into use, and many of the older ones have been converted to hotels/residentials. We'll see though!

Guess I’ll be the optimistic one lol. I think and hope they will be built especially since the city is slowly turning more focus to medical/bio innovation.
