When will we find out about what the organization will do this year for the renovation?

The Cubs have a website for the construction project. The website hasn't been updated for the current offseason yet. If you look at the list of "enhancements" left to be completed, this is what remains:
  • Two-Story Annex and Entertainment Space, replacing the Captain Morgan Club and United Club with a bigger Captain Morgan Club and a rooftop terrace
  • Upper Outdoor Concourse, adding additional bathrooms, concessions, and amenity spaces to the upper deck
  • Suites and Suite Corridor
  • Visitor Clubhouse, although not listed on the website, this will be renovated

That former auto repair shop across from Wrigley has a sign up saying something like “being developed by X Bank”

Forgot which lender. But looks like this little project has financing hence, it’s moving forward for certain.

Also, Cubs hitting coach Chili Davis has been fired and they replaced new Cubs hitting coach Anthony Iapoce.

The Captain Morgan Club at the corner of Addison and Sheffield is being torn down. It looks like that last concrete panels from the 1960's will go down with the Club, too. Good riddance.

Will the new visitor clubhouse be located underneath the annex?

My memory of the exact location is a little hazy. I think that is part of the plan. The area where the clubhouse is now will be used for concessions, a club, and such.

Its ashame they couldn't preserve it and move it to another location. So much Chicago architecture being lost.

Wasn’t it just an addition built about a decade ago? I seem to recall it’s construction back when I first lived in Chicago.

It was built within the past 20 years. Here, the twitter account Wrigley Aerials, shares a photo from the 1997 season. The Captain Morgan Club had not been built yet.

Sometimes, it's fun to poke around for an answer even if the question was a bit of a joke. When did they build this thing?

I believe it was built prior to the 2008 season.
