This is correct. HVZ left Kimpton about three months ago and is a true independent at this point. No brand affiliation. Host owns, and Sage manages.

From Visit Austin's newest hotel supply/pipeline report:

"AC Hotel by Marriott (E 7th) -- 133 rooms -- Planning phase/opening in 2025"

It's pretty small for a "highrise hotel," but then again this fits snugly into White Lodging's current strategy, which is to saturate Austin with Marriott product, and underbuild on exceptionally high demand CBD lots.

Admittedly, I'm also open to the idea that this is somewhere further along 7th Street as well, and not this lot we're talking about . . .

133 rooms on East 7th lines up very well with this 132 room proposal for East 7th & Concho. https://austin.towers.net/its-hotels...in-east-austin
