Forming of the 30th floor walls and posts continues. They have made good progress installing the glass wall facing King St which is the main lobby entrance.

Slowly progressing with forming and pouring the 31st floor walls and posts. Must be alot of custom forming required for this final residential floor level.

They have now removed the concrete pump boom from the top and the pump machine on the ground on the south side. Will now use a concrete bucket for the remaining pours.

York website for this building.

https://www.aquionking.ca/

2 bedrooms will be $2395/mth plus $100/mth for a parking spot.
Londons first outdoor rooftop infinity pool 32s up.

Will be interesting to see the vacancy rate of these units at these prices.

Ayerswood 25s Dundas St building a block away will also be renting units and the demand for those will also be worth watching.

Old Oaks 40s Centro tower and Drewlos 16s Talbot St building as well as the 13s at Talbot and St. James and Medallions 19s and 23s towers on South will also be competing for tenants in 2024.

Will the market be there?

Forming well under way now for the mechanical penthouse and rooftop features. Also making progress with exterior concrete painting on the east side of building. They will likely pick up the pace on exterior concrete finishing to get as much done before freezing temps arrive.

York has now opened the leasing office in the ground floor lobby entrance off King St. Occupancy is expected by Feb 2024.

Some of the rooftop mechanical walls are now poured. Likely having the top-out ceremony within a week or two.

Considering the downtown location, the huge size of the units, the views, and the amenities. and the fact it's a new building, those are pretty good prices. Here i n Vancouver's downtown such suites would be well over $6000/month or for the same price you would get a 450 square foot basement apt in a 60 year old building but only if you were VERY lucky and certainly nowhere close to downtown.

They have now installed the driveway curbing and a base coat of asphalt on the York Street entrance side of this building. Still alot of concrete finishing and painting to complete for the exterior. Have also started installing the glass walls for the 2 level amenity space up at the 23-24 floor NE corner.

Milestone day for York Dev with Ellis Don starting the process of removing and trucking away the tower crane using a tall mobile crane and smaller mobile crane to load the flatbed trailers with the parts. Using the Landlords parking lot as staging area for disassembly.

First tenants have moved in now using the 6th thru 10th floors. Still have the north and west walls to complete concrete finishing and paint on the exterior.
