Interesting that they are showing South and West for the lights. They have already done Racine north and south of Addison. Supposedly my street (nearby) is changing in the spring.

OBP looks amazing poking through the canopy of towers in Streeterville. Chicago's skyline could benefit from several more 800+ footers scattered around the skyline.

My guess is value engineering care of Related. If they kept them they'll only be on the crown section.

Seems like it would be pretty easy to do that with paint instead of a bronze metal panel. Except on the bottom few floors, nobody would know the difference.

Maybe there still is a plan to paint these "bands" a bronze color? They could just drop a swing stage off the building and paint with some Modac.

I would imagine related is killing their own repertoire but.....If thats what it takes to get some more 800 footers, i'll take it!

I'm still pretty sure that these areas are not done, one way or another, whether they are being clad after the fact or painted. If you look at the spandrel panels that were supposed to be clad there is a huge variance in the surface color -- some are very dark -- as if they knew that those precast areas were eventually going to be covered.
