The fact that OBP has only been under construction for a bit over a year is mind-blowing. Simply unbelievable how fast they have been able to construct this building.

I've been saying the same thing.

I think we might be looking at a record!

I wonder if the rapid pace of construction we see at OneBP and the Vista might be related to where the developers think we may be in the real estate cycle.

We may be nearing the end of this most recent boom, and if the economy slows down as in 2008, its much better to be near the finish line (like Trump Tower) than face an increased risk of having the project grind to a halt early on in the project (as happened with Waterview Tower and the Spire).

Spending some extra money to increase the rate of construction could be money well spent.

The taller it gets, the more I fall in love with that slim profile.

Looks like about 11 or 12 more floors until top out?

Damn this thing is going to pop like crazy driving south before the s curve after they got the crown lit up. And how slender it is is only going to bring more attention to the crown and side lighting. I hope they light it up well. Anyone know if its going to be white light or orange like nbc?

Are they using real limestone at the base? Because if not, that's some very good looking engineered stone/precast.

The base is stone.

TODAY - this building is starting to feel tall now.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Bob Stern and much of the RAMSA team while I was just in NYC but I didn't get a chance to ask Mr. Stern about this building--but I will when I go back next week and see if I can get any juicy off-the-record details!
