Charlotte is definitely ahead of the curve in terms of downtown development per-capita, major design points as well, keep it up.

^ Thanks to the finance industry I guess. Grateful to the bland banking culture for the plentiful plazas and pedestrian bridges and those architectural aspects became a norm.

Centene is creating 3200+ jobs and building a $1 billion campus at the Research Park including a tech center. Looks like it will be close to the Electrolux campus.

Insurance is to U-City like banking is to uptown? They can poach employees from their competitors I guess.

You can do anything in a pipe dream, including canoeing in a man-made pond with rushing water! But, if you capsize, even your mother won't recognize your mugshot when you're pulled from the muck.

To your comment and the one that followed. This is a very ambitious "what if" type rendering. Norfolk Southern owns the land and likely won't ever give it up. These renderings are great but likely to never be acted upon.

Personally there is another concept for the 220 acres that includes a park but is a densely populated neighborhood that I am a bigger fan of.
