This building is not going to age well. It’s almost Brutalist.

I actually really like the facade, in person it looks like it's carved out of volcanic basalt. It's a nice departure from the typical glass/steel, it makes a nice juxta to Gehry Spruce (whatever the hell they're calling it now).

130 William Street’s Façade Reaches 800-Foot-Tall Parapet In The Financial District

Quote:
130 William Street‘s signature façade has made significant progress since YIMBY’s last report in August. The charcoal-colored, concrete-cast arches are now approaching the flat roof of the topped-out Financial District skyscraper. The first New York project from David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates, the 66-story tower stands 800 feet tall and will contain 242 residences. Hill West Architects is the architect of record, Lightstone Group is the developer, and Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales and marketing for the units, which will range in price from around $1,300,000 for a one-bedroom to $20,000,000 for a four-bedroom, full-floor penthouse.

Completion of 130 William Street should happen sometime next year.

Is it just me or does it not look 800' in comparison to the other buildings in most shots..

Is it on lower terrain? Or perhaps the figure is wrong? Cool facade regardless

The photo above your post shows it in front of Chase Plaza, which is 813' and likely on higher ground if they count it from the raised plaza. Likely some long distance perspective in play as well. I see where it appears to come up a little short, but it is probably a lower plot over there from where they're counting on Fulton.
