Zoning Verification requests were filed today for Dewberry's parcels at 10th and Peachtree (1001 Peachtree in Accela) and behind Metropolis on Juniper St. (930 Juniper in Accela).

Anyone with an inside scoop on what he's up to? Probably just refinancing.

Any idea why 725 North has views of people splashing in pools? There's goggles you can loook in by the #725VIEWS signs.

I wish there was something more exciting to report at 10th and Peachtree, but I've been told they are demolishing the empty clubs and extending the green space there.

Kroger has bought the 17th & Northside property

It looks like the Fuqua project will indeed be a reality. I'm not surprised.

Wish we'd hired Tim Keane a decade ago and removed the possibility of Fuqua's crap from further hindering the city's growth. Fuqua's developments are incredibly frustrating, while trying to imagine in comparison with a future Atlanta people want to live in.

Stop swallowing the crap that people say on here. People need to wake up on this board and realize that there are a lot of Atlanta's (native and transplants) that love Fuqua's type of projects. I understand that a lot of people on this board disagree with Fuqua. But this is just a handful of the ideas circling Atlanta. Keep in mind, this board really only has a one way of looking at things.

There may be but I have yet to meet a single one-- and I know a lot of Atlantans-- And yes if expecting good urbanism is a way of looking at things, you are correct. BTW which part of Fuqua's tin pot empire do you work in?

The city of Atlanta is partly to blame as zoning laws have largely remained unchanged since the 80s, hence Fuqua's autocentric developments popping up. If Keane wants even a fraction of his vision realized then he must address that issue first and foremost.

Downtown student apartments may finally be moving forward.
"South City buys downtown corner for 26-story student housing tower. The 690-bed tower could break ground in November, depending on how soon South City Partners can line up an equity partner."

With all due respect, this city needs champions to denounce bullshit developments similar to this and I will gladly stand up against your and other shortsighted visions for the city I live in and want to make better for all of its constituents. While all opinions are welcome, some city design aspects are better than others. If you poll adjacent neighborhoods, they don't want another big box development at this site. If drivers passing through want a big box development at this site, they get get a developer to build a similar piece of shit closer to their own homes. For this site, the developing surrounding area, and what the adjacent residents want, the Fuqua proposal is absolutely despicable.

Unlike other condo projects in the city, No2 Opus Place will not be held back by the number of units purchased. Rather, the project will be self-financed and start construction regardless of pre-sales, says Haynes.

A couple of recent aerial shots of the GSU stadium conversion of Turner Field from a helicopter. They're large pics so I'll just post the link:
