I think Park Lane once that's developed will complete this corridor. A sort of centerpiece I hope on the Eastern flank.

Absolutely. So many exciting new nodes overall to keep up with. DoBro lately is big enough to revival most U.S. cities. I was looking at some aerials earlier from 2010 and going through some of my older photos that I took back in 2012 and its a reminder of how much has changed.

Some of those older pics. Feels like 100 years ago. Anybody remember when BOA was u/c and was the hottest thing out there.

All pics by me.

Back in 2007. Leaving for a cruise to the Caribbean. This village in the distance compared to what it is now.

^ Or when everyone was goo goo over 425 Fifth Avenue. Seems absolutely quaint now.

Considering how strong the luxury market is, I really hope that Witkoff proceeds with 36 CPS in the foreseeable future.

It is interesting to see that NYC has no skyscrapers in the 1100-1200 foot range. This is the first. Did a really quick and dirty. Please note this is in Manhattan, buildings under construction or completed. Also used BOA and NYT roof height because i dont believe putting a pole on top of building is accretive to the building height.

Height (ft) #
1300+ 6
1200-1300 2
1100-1200 0
1000-1100 8
900-1000 12
800-900 17

That strange building in hells kitchen with the pole is 1200 feet proposed as well..but not even sure what that is.

Unfortunately for you, you don’t get to decide those things. Some people don’t think throwing up a glass facade is architecture, but that doesn’t change reality.

Good view of the site from above. This tower will rise a little higher than One57, the perfect framing for Steinway.

CB5 recommendation, which isn't even advisory, since this isn't going through a full approvals process...

WHEREAS this thing will rise.

WHEREAS CB-5 knows nothing

WHEREAS another gem to populate the skyline

WHEREAS super talls are becoming the norm

WHEREAS every day brings great news

WHEREAS I'm going to drink some wine to this

WHEREAS I will drink more wine to celebrate

WHEREAS these super tall reveals result in a drinking issue

With 41 W 57th on the fast track now.. the Park Lane Hotel redevelopment has to be right around the corner.. no reason to wait at this point!

Record number of Condos where sold in late October.. 50 deals over a 7 day period.. topped by last week's 60 units sold!!

The market is getting red hot again!

I wonder how much Witkoff spent on the Park Lane refurbishment. I can’t imagine that it was so much that would delay this if the timing is right in terms of market demand.

This was approved by City Planning, the final approval as this wasn’t ULURP.

Nice. A timeline on when this will be up by? Thinking 2025 or so?

I like the simplicity. It's kind of hard to tell what the glazing will look like in real life. OMA always has very conceptual renderings until late in the process.

This tower is going to be gorgeous. I love the indentations on the east-west facades and the way that the south facade fans out to the west.
