Would be excited that they are finally putting a hotel at Lansdowne, which has always been a no brainer, but then I remembered that anything can happen between now and 2031.
This is the first good news on Lansdowne in a while for me. I agree a hotel is a no brainer. A place for the visiting teams, artists and their staff to stay on site, but also for people visiting to watch sports. 150 rooms seems like a good amount for the site.
So 150 units with amenities would occupy perhaps half of one of the towers? Not sure how much space 150 hotel units usually takes but I would imagine generous room sizes and some suites mixed in.
I am imagining 1 rental tower and then the other tower is split between hotel and condo. They stated the towers would be staggered and not mirrored design. I like the idea of that. They could have the option of going upscale with a condo/hotel split.
The existing tower looking down onto the field certainly elicits no complaints from me design wise and its nothing extraordinary.

Was never a big fan of that balcony style and Riverain is not helping my opinions on that matter. They should really swap out the mandatory mini palm tree for a set of winter tires and crusty old pair of bicycles.
I'm down with a podium style like that however. Somewhat reminiscent of the renderings of our 'landmark' towers on O'Conner.
