Don't disagree it could've been done better, but it does appear that there are benches throughout the whole orchard, as well as some cut-throughs, so you don't have to just walk up and down one lane. You can see this a bit in the 3rd and 5th pictures in Chads post.
I do like the idea of a public space like this…I'm not sure how effective it will be in reality, but it's an interesting concept nonetheless.

That does look a little too tiny to be useful...not sure why it needs to be so thin considering they do have a lot of space to work with. At the very least, it would be neat if it was more of longer lane pool, but at the moment it looks like a glorified hot tub.
