5000 Crores in First Phase. The biggest in Kerala , but this was completely shadowed by the Smart City project.
Is there a necessity of so much of IT parks, will there be that much demand .
Smart City
Emaar Hitech Park
Shobha Hitech City
L&T Tech Parks
Unitech SEZ
Parsvnath SEZ
FACT Hi Tech Park
( Ignoring the individual company Campuses like TCS , Wipro)

Last Monday’s Mathrubhumi Dhanakaryam reported that FACT will be collaborating with INKEL to set up the 500 acre Hi Tech City.

Yes... without counting Infopark. You could pose the question the otherway. Why are
companies like Emaar, Sobha, Parsvnath, Unitech so pumped up despite knowing
the plans of each other and that of Smart City, Infopark etc ?
I have read in news that market studies have suggested Kochi to be the DestinatioNext
of India. This must be the reason. May be, because all of these happen over 5-10 years
give sufficient time and space to break even.

Is it true that Walmart has opened in Kaloor? Because I saw a signboard in Thammanam showing that 'Walmart ' is opening in Kaloor. Also that there is a Reliance Retail shop in Vytilla in a road near Janatha Junction.

I doubt that is the case. They haven't rolled out any stores in India yet, AFAIK. There is a small supermarket called "Wel-Mart" near the Kaloor bus stand. Maybe you misread their advertisement.

Cochin Airport may float budget carrier

Quote:
Cochin International Airport (CIAL), India’s first international airport not controlled by the central government, may team up with some domestic airlines to launch a budget carrier for the Gulf destinations.
....

The project in part revives the earlier proposed budget carrier, Air Kerala, which was shelved as only an airline with five years of domestic experience and a fleet of 20 aircraft can fly abroad.

CROWNE PLAZA LOOKS AWESOME , This has a typical foreign look . we need such buildings in Kochi . Its not that Height alone matters, Designs like this are much needed for the Cosmopolitan Cities.
Wish Holiday Inn also match this standard.

Red Fort Capital, a Cayman Islands-based real estate private equity fund, will raise a whopping $875 million to make large scale investments in Indian real estate.

The fund has already parked big money worth $100 million in real estate projects in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi.
Difficult to say. This is not yet a realty company. It may have invested through
an established realty firm. So it may be an investment already known or may be a
new one. Nowadays biggies count South as a Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi quadrilateral investment destination. This set of cities appear in most
investment news appeared recently.
