He's the only one who posts the incredibly negative (and usually inaccurate) points. There's no need to report posts if we can just learn to not respond to him. That's usually how you "beat" online trolls.

Hopefully. I don't come here to read posts attacking other posters.

Let me paraphrase BrandonJXN's nonsensical determinism:
"Los Angeles was never meant to be a city of vibrant street-life. Like, at all. I happen to love Los Angeles."

More example of basically the same logic: "Las Vegas was never meant to be good. Like, at all. I happen to love it though"
or: "Houston was never meant to be eco-friendly and progressive. Like, at all. I happen to love Houston".

The difference between the LA subforum and those of more progressive cities is the prevalence of regressive values and the near absence/ignorance of environmental and aesthetic standards among LA's forumers. It's no wonder LA tolerates shoddy architecture, zoning, and public policy as badly as it does. If an urbanism forum yields such a prevalence of regressive opinions, imagine the general population. Wow. The collective values of the LA subforum are a hair more progressive than those of Houston's. Sad indeed.
Really? I see nothing productive about this post. We come here to discuss development, not to read about how ignorant regressive and inferior we allegedly are. You're certainly not going to win over any minds with that kind of nasty, dang.

Certainly use the report feature like I just did. We all know who this is too (the same user who was banned for posting this exact kind of incendiary drivel).

No clear resolution for Hollywood Target; the company's lawyers are at least trying to restart construction, but Silverstein is working overtime. Not sure why judges see the value in keeping this husk unoccupied. Not only are we keeping people out of work, the structure completely blocks the sidewalk, which is so unfair to the bus riders who travel on this corner. It's really a shame what the idle rich can do. *p.s. I've reported that poster, as well.

It seems it would be more beneficial to tear it down and restart from scratch with a better design at this point. How long has it been like that?

I doubt it. That'd cost too much.

Except I never said that at all. I said Playa Vista. Not Los Angeles. You should learn how to read.

Probably adding some housing onto the project would make that Target a better product.

I don't have an exact design in mind. However it would be nice to have residential on top.

True.

It's strange how people twist someone's words. (and what conversations/content we get out of it)

@kelbeen

Nice shots.

More of this, please, especially around transit stops.

Thrilled about this. Vermont is so underutilized
