Open Call to Spyguy

Wait....what - is the pre strengthened-ARO proposal rush over? Nothing else this week? If you can give us drawings of Roszak Printer's Row - proving that that ridiculously awesome project is still alive - you have the rest of the month off!

According to Sloopin, there were soil tests at Polk and Financial (big lot north of British School).

http://www.sloopin.com/2015/09/soil-...nt-lot-at.html

I believe that land was just sold off separately when McCaffery sold Roosevelt Collection to whoever owns it now. Not sure who got this lot, but the original plan (RC Phase 4) was a couple high rise residentials.

It's like Christmas!

- 1028 N. Dearborn looks a bit awkward but it's nice to see some new height and glass in the Gold Coast.

- Building on Aberdeen looks promising. Brick!

- Glad to hear something is finally going in that overgrown lot at 56 W. Huron even if it is only 11 stories. Condos I hope.

- What the hell were they thinking with that southern elevation of the Bush Temple tower? I mean, I can't even right now.

Pretty sure it was this proposal that I posted on 7/20

Wow....Spyguy - you're just too much!!

Getting a little indigestion trying to take everything in here

Just one observation - that first proposal - 1028 N Dearborn......is it just me, or does this (granted this is only one elevation to go on - so this is early and limited) have the potential to be like maybe one of the most promising P/H designs we've seen in some time, or ever??

I would think/hope that we'll hear something in the coming months about what Related has planned for the former Chicago Spire site as well as the next phase of Wolf Point. Those are two other iconic supertall potentials.

Got any update on those Spyguy?

^ Yeah, with this explosive week, it's absolutely I think gotten to the point where we can ask Spyguy for what he has on specific projects . Very high on my wishlist would be:

- Georgetown State St Gap redevelopment
- Sterling Bay (or XYZ Co) 300 N. Michigan redevelopment

And aside, yes that Bush Temple thing shouldn't happen if it can only happen with a windowless facade facing south......

Great choices. I'd add the School of the Art Institute's plans for the State/Harrison lot – would be a great way to top off a monstrous week for the South Loop.

Yeah this is has been hanging over me like the Sword of Damocles since all this other stuff started happening. It could either be glue to hold the neighborhood together and connect it with the Loop, as well as connecting the east and west sides of the sloop, or it could be a turd roadblock that does nothing but ruin a good view. I hope the street level is 100% activated.

I have faith that the School of the Art Institute will pull off something good. They're a world renowned art institution, a genre of building that doesn't usually skimp on architectural commissions.

I'm loving these numbers;

50 units, 365 feet tall
110 units and only 15 parking spaces
11 units on 11 floors.

Sentinel, you have a hell of a task in front of you updating page 1, and I admire your courage.
