(four 0 four): Indeed, it was the Park Lane on Peachtree! How did you know?

WesternGulf: I used a 10-22mm wide angle zoom lens for that shot @10mm. I was nearly in the middle of the street when I took the picture, standing in front of a parked car so I was fairly close to the buildings. To keep it from looking like a less traditionally “abstract” wide angle, I lowered the angle of the camera until the perspective looked natural to me.
For comparison, sake. Here’s a another shot of the Auburn Avenue houses taken with the wide angle lens (from the sidewalk, this time), which I decided not to originally post.

Michi: Yeah, I thought twice about the BofA stat before I posted it (I could’ve sworn I’ve heard the Library (US Bank) Tower in L.A. was the tallest outside of NY & Chicago before) but I figured someone would rip apart my rampant lies, if Wikipedia failed me
. Personally, the seemingly arbitrary measurements, methods, and loopholes to determine the “official” heights of buildings keep me from latching onto any number too tightly.
I just wanted to add a few more “rejected” photos:
And here’s a larger aerial photo than I have previously posted:
FYI- The bellwood quarry is the big hole can be easily seen in the bottom of this photo
