Not sure why they didn’t want the side with the more interesting design elements facing I35.

Because it's I35. A sewer for cars that go by in a blink of an eye. I'd rather the interesting design features face a pedestrian friendly, human scaled space. And as far as distant skyline views go, I'd rather emphasize the views across Lady Bird Lake than the asphalt river that is I35.

Driving north on I-35, the interesting side looms pretty prominently facing the highway.
Also, the speed by which they built this one amazes me when compared to Vesper (just a block away and smaller footprint).

I wish this forum software wasn't dated so that we could like all of your updates gillynova.

Is this one about 2/3 of the way there? I'm excited to see the slanted part of the crown, which is imo the most interesting part of this building.

Six more levels and then the slanted roof portion. Just a little over 100' left to go.
