The foreground image is from N. Temple, but they've shifted the background by a few blocks, probably because the skyline looks better from further south than it does from N. Temple.
So what you’re saying is they SHOULD build a viaduct on 200 south to have this amazing view into downtown. I like it! Emailing the Mayor now :-)

Yeah, it is a weird conglomeration, on the North Temple viaduct in the foreground, and 200 south in the background.

Not sure if it has been discussed here previously, but Cottonwood Residential is planning on building a 256 unit apartment complex called Cottonwood Broadway (325 East, 300 South). The structure will be 5 stories of wood frame construction on top of two levels of parking, one of which is below grade. It is a narrow lot that extends from 300 South all the way north to 200 South. I can't figure out how to post a picture but the place looks really nice.

Personally I wish we would see more parking underground rather than all of these above grade parking podiums. Really takes away from the accessibility of the units and the ability to have store fronts on the main floor. Too bad SLC doesn't have a mandate like Seattle and Bellevue Washington have that all parking needs to be underground....

Update on Liberty Sky - appears to be progressing but still in design development.

A 200 South viaduct should absolutely be built.

This is great news! They have had this under contract for a couple of years. They tried in vain for months to get the RDA (to open up TIF and utilize the RLF financing etc) to expand its granary District boundaries to no avail. Because that's something they "don't do". Glad to see them punch through the thickheaded SLC bureaucracy anyway. BTW, you can get not only a boundary adjustment, but a brand new RDA district in Ogden within 90 days. This one will be an awkward photo op when the usual city folks show up for a photo op at groundbreaking. But I digress. Congrats, Industry.

Well, that looks like something new! Is state street going to become apartment tower row?

Where exactly is this one located?

I wonder if this is the current design plan of the 255 South RDA Project Winner. Being the location is 255 South State.

I would love this to be the finalized design for the location.

I love the through-block connection. I would love for this to happen. But, it's so hard to get my hopes up with all of the other awesome proposals that never see the light of day. Where are the tower cranes in this city?!

I love the proposal. Hard to be excited and optimistic about anything proposed for SLC these days. If this happens, it'll be ten years before they break ground.
