Only a few more weeks until this goes over it's neighbors steel wise. Core wise it may surpass Bell ATL Bldg in a month or two?

It's already starting to peek above IBX.

Check out this OLD concept art for Bridgeman's View Tower on the Delaware riverfront! It looks like an inspiration for Norman Foster's first draft of the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center!

It is fairly cold and windy on most of the east coast this morning. Perhaps the camera is having difficulty with the weather conditions.

The core is probably at least 600 feet as it stands above the sea of 500 foot towers. And the steel is starting to become visible from the northwest (as you approach the city from eastbound 76). This will probably be a full size skeleton with some decent cladding by the time the DNC comes to town.

From Saturday:

The core is starting to peak out from more and more views around the City.

Based on the article I didn't realize the building is 'better known as Comcast 2'. I couldn't find that reference in a quick google search. Is that an internal name, possibly implying there is a Comcast 3 in the works?

Did they use Roman numerals? Maybe it's like the Rocky franchise. Maybe like seven or eight more are in the works.

Honestly, I've never heard anyone call it "Comcast 2" -- except me. The full name is too cumbersome and "CITC" is not very catchy. When I point it out to my kids, I call it Comcast 2. As for implications, I don't think there are any. It's simply the second Comcast tower. I know that we'd all like to see a Comcast 3.

I've referred to it at "the new Comcast tower" but also as Comcast II... CITC is an odd acronym to say. I doubt it will stick.
