Any idea if the office component is actually planned on being built in this bear market?

I could see it being delayed by 3-4 years due to uncertainty.

It looks like if it comes to fruition, that it'll have the highest quality cladding in the whole masterplan, likely similar to 19 Duncan.

Why is this building and The One for that matter taking so long to rise. I remember hearing about the existence of both buildings so long ago and it seems not much progress has been made. So...any locals or somebody who knows more about this than me willing to explain that would be greatly appreciated.

The podium levels of these developments usually move at a slower pace. But once they get to the standard tower levels - which should be soon for this one - you should start to see it rise at roughly 1 floor per week.

This one should begin to shoot upwards soon. I still expect it to overtake The One at some juncture.

assuming this moves at a typical pace of one floor every 7 days, I did the math and figured it should pass The One in floor count towards the end of this year - a few months longer for total height as this has shorter average floor-to-floor heights.

Wonderin’ if these forms at the top of the podium are for the first tower floor… hmmm.

Riseth

SkyTower is on the right… (assuming it gets its height increase to 105 storeys).

Did the height/floor extension request get granted?

Forming the SkyTower swimming pool. This podium looks much taller than the renderings to my eye. Apparently a base is in place for a third crane now.

Wow, so long since I didn’t visit Toronto and I love this tower.
Somehow Toronto and Shanghai became more similar
Any update?

Podium looks taller than the new renderings to me (but likely due to the view from street level).

A ton of tension cables(?) being used… presumably to help the super-tall stay upright ;-).

SkyTower will rise on the far left (behind The Toronto Star building). Phase 1 ‘Prestige’ is complete on the left.
