The article says it'll be near Sedgley Porter House (Lemon Hill Mansion), not that obscure. It's like grouping the historic thing with other historic things.

Good Lord, the local news media is really making a big deal about the gas station being moved. They’ve had three noisy helicopters following it for the last hour getting live shots. It’s now 11:30pm! I’m sure ratings are through the roof lol

This! I live in Logan Square and I could not believe the fuss. 2+ hours of helicopters overhead livestreaming the procession as though it was the head of state's motorcade. At least it's gone and construction can begin in earnest.

I think we are missing the point here. The removal of the gas station is the first real evidence that this is a go. Sure, there is drilling and excavation but look at the Durst project. Also 50 years ago I remember the Center Square project was a huge hole in the ground for years. Same with the Rittenhouse Hotel site. But moving the gas station means no turning back.

I mean, the Governor of Pennsylvania cut a ribbon with Chubb and Parkway executives on the parking lot several months ago. I don't think this is very comparable to Durst's apartment building

No offense, but Mark Squilla and Nikil Saval aren't close to being on the same level of the governor, but fair enough.
