Thanks as always Gresto for the props... everyone likes/needs a pat on the back (once or twice a year lol).

The CANADIAN Weather, Politics, Western Canada hockey and Montreal love-fest FORUM is a total lost cause re: skyscrapers on a skyscraper forum....

I mean 3 super-talls underway all at once ... ignored because of their problematic postal code.

But like this compilation... many, many lurkers/viewers... and no comments.

The good news: thanks to a break-through in therapy, I have learned accept the state of the SSP nation as a gathering of thousands of eyeballs on posts but no voices. It's actually still fun to post 'cause I know they are lots of them there hiding behind
those grassy 'scraper knolls.

Quayside | ?m | ?s | Dream | David Adjaye l pre-construction

Some great new images for “Timber House” at Quayside which would be the largest timber building in the country (see ya later Sidewalk Labs ;-)

U of T - The Gateway - 371 Bloor Street West l ?m l ?s l Westbank l planning

Great news that WestBank (who are giving the city 19 Duncan, BIG’s KING Toronto and Mirvish Village) have been chosen to redevelop U of T’s large high-profile site at Bloor and Spadina.

Early plans would see two towers totalling 960,000 sq. ft. of much-needed university housing, academic space @ 220,000 sq. ft. and retail. Westbank are presently shopping for an architectural team.

Site envelope/location:

Most of the new build would be behind these existing U of T academic buildings that are ‘heritage listed’.

1798-1812 Weston | ?m | ?s | Castlepoint Numa | BDP Quadrangle l pre-construction

Another interesting mixed-use proposal (condo, rental and retail) from Castlepoint Numa on Weston Road almost next door to their rental-condo-retail tower at 1830 Weston Road (see below). Adjacent to the GO Transit and UP Express station.

New renderings: 160 metres on The Danforth? Lots of discussion to say the least…;-).

The miraculous thing about Studio JCI designs is the final build/materiality is almost always as good or even better as any eye-candy renderings. Don’t know how they seem to pull that off given the developer (client) pays the bills.

Wow! That GO! Line upgrade can't happen fast enough. I wasn't aware of all the development proposed around St. Clair and Keele/Weston. My Aunt's house is very near there. My Sister's is in between The Galleria and Dufferin. Neither of them could have imagined this happening when they bought their houses. My Aunt has been there for 50 years, but it has been less than 15 years for my Sister.

Are there any recent photos of TC5 and the surrounds? Would love to see how that's changing the Vaughn skyline.

Wonderful, koops! It will get really exciting when you add Forma and the Sugar Wharf 2 towers.

These were taken in December by Edward Skira of UT.

Thanks, Gresto! That's an impressive cluster for what is essentially a suburban area.

Yeah these are really great koops... hope you get this "ghost" concept into the ssp drawings one day.

Maybe you could sneak projects in that are in the site demo phase like Forma Phase 1 and Sugar Wharf Phase 2 with the addition of a well-known icon .

Quite right. The height increase on The One was recently rejected by the city because of shadows on Jism Kitchen Park, but I hope the appeal wins at the OLT. Not that I approve of the OLT in principle (i.e. a rubber stamp for developers), but The One just so happens to look better (symmetrical) at its revised higher height.
