PITTSBURGH | 1520 Penn | 340 FT | 23 FLOORS

1520 Penn Ave will be a 23 story office complex in the heart of the heart of the Strip (District). The construction requires the demolition of a massive reinforced concrete cold storage facility. Demolition and site prep is well underway.

Nice to see a new tower going up! Will be interesting to see how a new office building fairs in the current market though.

Lovely building!

Looks like demo is ongoing of the current building though, correct? And foundation work has not started officially on this yet?

If that's the case, this would be a proposal still until we see official foundation work. I'll move this to the proposals section and we can move it back to under construction once foundation work has started.

Should be fine in the Strip District. Oakland/Lawrenceville/East Liberty/Strip District are the tech clusters, still having space gobbled up. Downtown has been the loser the last few years. A lot of older office buildings are starting to be converted to residential.

Glad to hear there is demand.

I love visiting Pittsburgh, so it'll be fun to check out the construction here next time I visit!

Pittsburgh appears to be on a bit of a roll all of sudden! Somebody from there please add all of the new buildings to the diagrams page, which is woefully behind. Don't even need to draw the diagrams themselves. Just need an entry so the buildings show up for comparison purposes!
