Spawn, I think I remember a while back you had asked what will be in place of the old Tutwiler dorm after it is demolished. This cartoon map shows the new Tutwiler and the grassy lawn that will be located between it and Paul Bryant Drive. After Butler Field was eliminated with new sorority houses and the Magnolia parking deck, greenspace was much needed in this area. This map gives a good look at what it will look like when finished. Thanks, Packer! No doubt that will be some prime tailgating space come gamedays.

Packer! You are a gentleman and a scholar. Thanks for posting that. I was looking at our rating and our "safety rating" was a 1 star out of 5. WHAT? I'm not saying Ttown is the safest place but let's not act like it's Chicago. Every other rating we had was a 5 star and one 4 star for "teaching rating"

I'm puzzled by that, also. Has there been a crime spree that we haven't heard about? Looks like all the schools have low ratings for safety. Who knows?

If I had to guess, I'd say that statistic is per capita crime. University students in ever college town are notoriously bad about not filling out Census forms; so, with the city's population being a number of thousands of people lower than it is, it causes the crime rate to be artificially inlflated.

Chad, unfortunately, COVID seems to have created a domino effect of delays. This is Russell Mumper's baby. He and his office did a ton of work putting the plan together and getting all the player's signatures on letters of approval. If you notice on (page 10) of the document below that was presented last August, some details of the project are mentioned. As soon as I hear anything concrete, I will definitely post it. I hate to speculate anymore. Like everything I've ever wanted badly, I've had to wait for it. I guess my life is like the ketchup commercial with the song "Anticipation". Hang in there.

Interesting that the new CEO is coming from a University ran hospital system in Georgia. Not that I am suggesting anything.

Construction of the United States Geological Survey's Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility is well underway on the old Bryce property, just North of Cyber Hall and the Smart Communities and Innovation Building.

This is the great news that I have been hoping for, for years now. Kudos to Dr. Mumper for all his work in putting together this plan. He has definitely earned his salary. Expect and official announcement in the coming weeks (first quarter of 2022). RTR

Feel free to ask questions and I'll tell you what I can. By the way, there is even more to come that I'll reveal at a later date. RTR
This is the first I'm hearing about this. Has this been officially announced and I just missed it?
