I suppose we need blood in addition to beer.

Is CBS moving from Broad and Broadway? That would be a great spot for condos.

The Catholic school division is complaining a bit, but I don't think that's going to amount to anything. The new location is by Sacred Heart school. So has Pine Lodge been in temporary digs or has that help just been completely unavailable the last year? Important work.

It's hard to tell if The Mayor is posting new stuff or not most of the time...is this a new announcement, or just a news article about an announcement we've already discussed here?

Hahaha. He’s in the right industry. For the longest time I didn’t think gruel was a real thing and it was just a made up word for something gross as in “Krusty brand imitation gruel”.

Not construction related but this adds to the ambiance of the city
https://leaderpost.com/news/local-ne...dbfa82f59/amp/

It’s a magical, visually stunning figure skating show starring Olympian. Stojko will be accompanied on Saskatchewan’s largest outdoor rink at Mosaic Stadium, Iceville, by a cast of professional figure skaters from the Canadian Ice Dance Theatre bringing fire to the ice,” according to a news release.

The performance is described in the release as a “symphony of skating, music, lighting, and fireworks all coming together as one. It will be the hottest night in February Regina has ever seen.”

Admission to the show is free, courtesy the City of Regina. Seating is limited to the first 10,000 people to register, with registration opening Friday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. at www.frostatreal.ca.

About half of the projected new positions will support the company’s Brandt Tractor locations across Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Another 40% will be focused on boosting manufacturing in Regina, Saskatoon and Illinois, and the remainder will be in corporate support roles in the company’s Regina locations.

“For anyone looking to join a private, family-owned business where they’re truly valued, Brandt has opportunities for skilled trades-people, business professionals, and new grads too,” adds Semple. “With the addition of our large new training center in Regina, we can offer motivated individuals the training they need to build a dynamic career here at Brandt.”

Could we not post corporate PR on here? Not that the corporate media is that much better but posting a media article on it is still preferable, especially given Brandt's polarizing track record as an employer (from what I hear, as well as here and here) and their continued insistence to build a commercial property in Wascana Park.

Nah. I don't think you know what a Karen or Ken is. Those people scream about identity politics. All I'm doing is holding power to account. The Semples don't deserve uncritical treatment, especially because of how they treat their employees but also because how much effort they put in to avoid paying taxes in this city and province. Also, I clearly don't care what anyone here thinks about me so I'm not sure why you are pretending to look out for my image.
