What's most frustrating about the tunnel situation is that the new tunnel will be finished soon and will sit, completely unused, for 2+ additional years because Concourse B hasn't been built far enough east to actually meet up with it.

That seems like something that could have been planned better. Why not build-out Concourse B ~150 ft farther east than it is currently? Looking at the map, that's maybe one extra gate (B24).

I 100% agree. Does it have something to do with the footprint of the old airport? Was it too close to that area to have extended it?

It would have been great to have that end constructed but it definitely would have required demo of the end of the old Terminal D and loss of a few gates.

There is a ton to do unfortunately including paving the whole tarmac around the building and installation of the new jet bridges. Hopefully sooner than stated but definitely a ways out.

Hmm. I thought the northern east concourse was to be much bigger.

Am I missing something?

Hey guys!

I'm coming to SLC early morning on February 27, 2022. I arrived in SLC at 8:27am on Delta flight#2849. I am on next flight to Amsterdam and then Basel. I have 6 hours layover. Can we meet you there? I would like to take a nice tour opportunity at new SLC airport. Perhaps, we can have a nice tour at new SLC airport. I would like to do photography.

Unfortunately, the flight is canceled. Due to winter storm. They will reissued tickets for next future trips. If the weather will get better. Gotta wait in a few days.

Actually, you can ask them on FlyerTalk. Why you don't join FlyerTalk and go on Delta Air Lines forums. They will answer your questions.

No, I mean, you said they canceled your flight in late February because of the weather. Can you see why I'm confused?

No, no, no. They won't be canceled. Depending if the weather is good. I can come to SLC on February 27. I have check the flight status before I come to PHX airport. I'm still flying out from PHX on February 27.

Please check the weather report for me. Please remind me again before I arrived in SLC.
