Yeah, it's supposed to be a bluish color. You can see it in this rendering from the 5M website.

The Chronicle reports today that the office tower, which is apparently intended to lure tech tenants, has topped out.

The article also includes some cool photos and renderings:

I love the fill in to the skyline. I always park at the garage next to Westfield when I'm in that area

The recent house-moving produced in interesting photo of the 5M project:

2/27/2021 - The skin on the north side of the building is now being installed. The view I will have from my apartment will be dominated by white vertical cladding.

Oh boy, here we go again. We know what happened the last time a building was clad with white vertical stripes... hopefully this turns out better.

Er, what happened?

Vertical stripes supposedly make you look thinner. That's a good thing in people and buildings.

Not when they’re on Jasper.

I thought you meant the Leaning Tower of Millennium.

I’ve always thought the Millennium Tower is a handsome building and sincerely wish Jasper would never have been built. I particularly despise looking at it from the west.

Seems a little extreme. It's not handsome for sure, but you can't expect every building, even tall ones, to be. There are several in SF I don't care for, but they add positively to the skyline and to the urbanity of the city nevertheless: Better than a parking lot.

In truth, I don't think 5M is looking all that elegant--kind of a mish-mash really. But I'm glad they are building it.

3/1/2021 - Walked by 5M today. I love the building as seen up close. A beautiful building to my eye. I think it is a great addition to the city.

The senior housing in the background has unattractive color panels.

In this case, I agree with Pedestrian, thinking that the office building looks somewhat like a jumbled mess. I like the smaller building, including the colors.

I'm going to withhold my judgment until the tower is complete, but I'll say it does look like the renderings.

in context on Fifth

the jumble

the back of the senior housing

the front along Mission. I'm in the camp of liking the colored panels on this one

much like with the Market St Hub project, and as others have expressed, I have high hopes for the internal spaces in this block

looking west past the senior housing up Minna

looking back the other way down Minna

I think on the left is the Dempster Building, which is to be restored

looking south across the future open space

They were taking down the crane on the Mission Street building today.
