It's an inevitable, the population will increase. The city from what I understand is built for at least 2.5 million. I've been saying this for years. There's only one way to accommodate increased population, is to increase and create new heavy rail ex. subways, elevated lines. and light rail, such as restoring some of the old trolley lines. Hmm...I can see it now...Lowering those huge tunnel boring machines (TBM's) into the ground now, heading up and down Roosevelt Blvd.. at least 4 lines with express trains in the middle. It can pay for itself.

massive projects like that are never paid for solely with local money. Without a major federal subsidy expansions don't happen. In in many parts of the country where pricey new transit projects have occurred, there is often a dedicated regional tax to pay back bonds. The ability to levy such a tax does not exist in this state.

Nice 'shop. Makes me wish this one had some kind of flourish on the top - maybe an angled top similar to EVO.

I like how the vertical fins look. Hopefully we get a building in the future that breaks away from using white for those kinds of touches in favor of gold or something. I like how they look on 111w57. I think one of the renders for one of the U-City towers is like that - hopefully it can still be financed and there's still a market for highrise offices after this mess is over.

The W aside, engineering and construction management on these buildings has gotten very sophisticated. They definitely move quickly when they get going.

Just yesterday, I noticed there are already windows going in on the Piazza Terminale project which in my head, was still in the site prep stage.

So there you go.

December 1st 2020 and the sidewalk in front of the W still isn't open (though there's signage for the ground-floor restaurant up now), sigh. That building permanently annoys me.

Hold on when is the expected date for this to open?

Am I seeing what looks like an early open date for this scraper or is this just a good company that knows how to get shit done?

If this building gets done in 1 year V.S. The 5 or so it took for the W that will be amazing.

(Also I know stuff comes up in construction and business period, I understand the W had many issues come up and this current scraper still has a ways to go but wow this project is damn near done.)

Arthaus is one floor above compared to that diagram. They're about to move up to the next floor which will reveal the next terrace
