Either way, IMO these vertical modern marvels are 100x better than detached mcmansions elsewhere. This street was already priced out for most people anyways.

The kind of people who buy these homes probably have at least three more, so, yeah, relatively few will be living year-round.

But they'll be used; Manhattan RE doesn't make much sense as a wealth shelter given the taxes, transparency rules and carrying costs. And I'm guessing most will be used as primary homes, as we see with older towers like 15 CPW.

Now that this tower is almost finished, is it possible to know the true EXACT (1 floor= 1 roof) number of floors? Are them 103? Thanks.

^ Yeah, it's standing back with the Empire State, wondering where all the newcomers came from.

Not this one in particular. If this was half it's height no one would give a shit. Just height is all that seems to matter these days to some folks.

Possibly the most boring supertall ever built.

It would be boring at even half it's height. A 1,500 ft tower that adds nothing to the skyline (though the architects say it will be lit with white light at night). I guess you could say be thankful that it doesn't have some blow-through floor for people to rage about. It's just not a very good design at all for such a tall building. And we almost had better.
