I would provide an image of where I think the tower sits, but Imgur is now crap with their new website.

Based on the below image and my interpretation of the renders. It looks like the tower edge is one span out from where the elevator core is. So the columns covered in blue to the west, the columns at the edge of planters to the east. Then the first row of columns north and south of the elevators. Seems small to me, but that's what the renders appear to show. Doesn't look like it goes out to the existing building edge on Graham.

We can use the part that goes underground as an approximation too (where that limousine appears to be driving into) as to where that external part is going. It does appear to go beyond the construction fencing though in that case?

The closeup of the restaurant on the last page also clearly shows it's one (tall) storey. Maybe you'd be able to put some sort of loft in, but not without ruining the space. It's just not big enough for an Earls or flagship Joey.

Maybe something like this? Hard to say for sure. Blue out line is the tower. I tried to use both east and west underground entrances as a proxy but because there are isometric angles involved it might not be super great

We all knew that 300 Main would be way slimmer a tower than the original Winnipeg Square office tower proposal... this drives home the point as to how much slimmer it will be. To my eyes it looks like less than half the footprint.

Come to think of it the original proposal almost looks like two towers mashed together, a bit like the Manitoba Hydro tower which has two wings that join together at the northern tip of the building. I wonder if the original proposal called for two elevator banks, one each on the east and west sides?]

Incidentally, the units look pretty small... like what you'd expect to see in Toronto or Vancouver. Not all that surprising, but still... it seems that we went through a spurt of larger-than-average downtown units being built about a decade ago (the Waterfront Drive row, other one-offs like Webb Site), but these days it's all shoeboxes all the time.

Can't make out what the grid line offsets are. But something around 25'. So the suites seem to be in the 500 to 700 sq foot range. Fairly typical for apartments, no?

Perhaps in contemporary trends, yes, but these are smaller to okay sizes for apartments in a general sense.

I'm thinking back to my 500 sq ft, 1 bedroom apartment. It was small yes. But kind of what I expected for a single bedroom. We had a storage locker in the building, so that was nice.

That's awesome! Thank you Biff! Pretty neat how it has a "two tower fused together" design

This tower is going.to do so much for downtown, but im looking forward to it putting a dent in that dead space of parking lots/no structures along Graham

There was a mention made that Artis wanted to make it as tall as was structurally possible, I wonder how tall it could have gone were those limitations non existent?

Can imagine New York City closing streets for 2 years every time a building goes up? I hope the developers and architects here appreciate how good they have it. Developers are saving a ton of money being able to stage everything on public streets instead of building and engineering structures that keep the side walk and street open. Is that where the tower crane is going,, a public street?
