The three stationary tower cranes are located in the new lock chamber. Two of the cranes are 248 feet tall and one is 260 feet tall. The lift capacity for the large tower crane is 39,000 pounds or 38.5 tons. Each crane has a 20 foot concrete foundations that will be abandoned beneath the floor of the new lock chamber upon completion of the new lock project.
