I concur that TA is very walkable and pedestrian friendly. And in fact, the whole metro area fits this description. Tel Aviv's "suburbs" are really just small cities but might as well be an extension of the city itself and no one would know the difference. And they're as dense, urban, and walkable as any US city outside of their core. I'd even go as far as to say that Tel Aviv's suburbs are more walkable than any part of your typical American sunbelt city, like Dallas, Miami, Phoenix, etc.
