Fortunately, as NYGuy said, it's an old model and not going to be the choice. Of the several 1,400 + office towers coming up in the next go round, only 350 Park really excites me as something that makes a statement as part of the skyline. Tower Fifth doesn't, 15 Penn sure doesn't...I know NYGuy does make a point that these towers are built for the needs of the people working there, but aesthetics should play some part. You can't hide nearly 1,500 ft... and we have to look at them every day. FORM and function should be more equally important. In the end, they'll build what they want, but it would be a shame if quality and style of architecture doesn't play more of a part in what is built as opposed to the merely functional.
