We took a quick trip to Providence this past weekend to watch the UVM - Providence hockey game. When it is 12 degrees out, the only things to do are drink beer and watch hockey. Providence is a great small or mid-size city and it is overshadowed by being so close to Boston and NYC. I think it is really underrated.
We stopped at Two Roads Brewing in Stratford, CT, for sustenance on our way.
Go Catamounts! Vermont's hockey team isn't too good this year. There were almost as many nuns in attendance at the game as Vermont fans. I found a puck under our seats when we got there, so that was a fun souvenir for our kids.
I figured I would immerse myself in the local culture of Little Rhody.
Sunday morning was about ten degrees and I had limited time to take photos with our kids.
Providence has some incredible restaurants. We ate brunch at Ellie's. I had a pork belly sandwich with broccoli rabe and provolone. We also all shared cinnamon buns.
