No the Beach Boys were uninspired nothings ... the best things they ever did was backing vocals for Elton John's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me and Chicago's Wishing You Were Here.
The Beastie Boys were creative dynamos.
And yes I am aware this is getting off track.
