BC Lions

A press conference has been called for just after 11 am local time where it will be announced that Amar Doman, owner of the Futura Corporation, is the new owner of the BC Lions. He and his family have a long history in the lumber & building industry.

Big Plans for Lions Season Opener

The B.C. Lions’ owner joined Donnie and Dhali on CHEK TV in Vancouver to talk about the 2022 season, but was deliberately scarce with the details on some of the team’s biggest plans.

“We’re arranging something special. We can’t tip our hand yet, we’re going to announce that in a little while as we get closer to the season, but June 11, Saturday night, is gonna be a night Vancouver is not going to forget. Everyone’s going to be writing about this one,” Doman hinted.

Random question. What is keeping you (average lower mainlander) from going to a Lions game?

Cost (tickets or just don't have disposable income)
Too difficult to get to (distance, traffic, etc)
Don't like the CFL and would rather watch something else
No interest
Other

Just curious why the Lions can seem to get passed that 30K average they used to have

I'm going to try and go to every game this season. There really is no reason for not going. The on field product is great, the tickets are cheap, the stadium is nice

For me I have limited spare time between work and family and there are just generally things I'd rather do with that limited spare time.

I have nothing against the Leos though and hope they find success on and off the field.

I used to be a Lions season ticket holder for years. I enjoyed it, but I didn't like to be locked in to so many games over the summer and have to plan vacations around it, etc.

Lately I find myself going to a lot of Vancouver C's games. Great venue, decent priced tickets. The food and booze used to be a bit cheaper but they are probably on par with other live sports venues now.
