These are so unique that they need to be bumped to the current page.

Boise's Newest Gem is taking shape. It's looking better, and better day/every night.

Agreed...She is shaping up nicely..

I just picked up all the TI's (drywall, steel framing and acoustical tile) with the builder/developer directly...which is apart from the work (shell & core) I am doing now, So I will get a list of prospective tenants when available.

For now I know
Zion's
Holland & Hart
CTA
DB Fitzpatrick

A few more I cant think of...but we should start compiling the list.

The city is on fire

Looking at i-beam to see how far the Zions building is coming along. And then this happened! Didn't they just buy this property?

i could be mistaken, but i believe that structure was to be torn down to make way for more parking for the new owyhee plaza apartment tenants.

this could be a planned burn for the fire dept. it seems boise does that pretty frequently when structures are available, like with the empty warehouses where the new whole foods now sits.

a couple interesting structures on the 18th floor. Pretty sure they'll be covered up like in the rendering sooner, or later.

using architecture buff's photo, here's a side-by-side comparison of the rendering and current status.

this is about as close as i could get to lining things up; it's not exact because the rendering is flat and the photo is looking at an upward angle, but it does provide a nice comparison at how close this puppy is to being topped out.

It looks great guys... But I'm still confused. Exactly how many stories is this building? Will it be taller than to 20 story US bank?

this, this and this.

i drove up capitol this morning, and now that the steel has essentially topped off you can tell that this building is essentially the same height as the U.S. Bank building. the spire will make it the clear tallest from that vantage point.

if it had just been 2 more stories taller, it'd be more obvious which is taller, but perhaps the next tower will provide us with the much-needed "peak"!

TOPPING OUT CEREMONY:
Wednesday, April 24!

article in the idaho statesman business insider section mentions that there will be a topping-out ceremony tomorrow as the final piece of steel is raised into place.

It tops out tomorrow. Earlier today I was driving on Capitol towards downtown and Zions appears to be a little taller than US Bank. Our photographers will need to make sure to post photos this week after it tops out tomorrow. Anyone know how long before the facade is completed?
