The Science World skin is probably the best thing they've done for this... it's so awesome, it's going to be shown worldwide and will be good promotion for the city.

It isn't AI. Lexus has a spiffy drone and they're putting mileage on it.

I don’t recognize your username; however, I’m not sure if you’re aware that my primary contribution to this forum is providing visual updates in the region. I’m not an expert—I simply enjoy seeing projects being built and sharing that progress.
With the videos I post, my focus remains the same: providing visuals through drone footage or by riding with a GoPro. Anything beyond that, including opinions, isn’t my priority. This is just a hobby for me—I’m not getting paid for it.
That said, I will continue using AI tools where possible to improve quality and efficiency. Cheers!

its a 20 minutes bus ride to the PNE from downtown. And not everyone lives downtown

20 min drive in no traffic (when's that?) 30 min bus.

Let's not pretend Hastings Park is some kind of central entertainment location. It's been on life support as the PNE declines and the Canucks moved out. Freedom Arch looks great I'll give it that.

And not everyone can take a 20-minute bus ride to the PNE. You think it's easier for someone to get to the PNE from New West, Coquitlam or Surrey than it is to downtown? Downtown is the easiest area to access for people in Metro Vancouver by transit.

Anyway, the big viewing events in Vancouver are at the PNE, so I guess that's that.

Hopefully the Arch and possible Whitecaps (and Lions?) stadium at the PNE will eventually lead to a SkyTrain extension over there… seems like the next logical priority after UBC.

Ron.
I was reading comments about a picture of this and a woman in a USA host city, It wasn't clear which one, said her city has seemingly done nothing at all for FIFA that she has seen, she felt like one wouldn't even know it was happening. She loved all the Vancouver pictures that were being shared/discussed.

It's really getting a lot of attention. I watched a video the other day, and there were a lot of people in soccer jerseys stopping to take pictures with it in the background.

In other FIFA news.

South Flats is having free watch parties too for some games. You still need a ticket though and Canada games are "sold out". Wish I found out earlier.

I guess they need ventilation at the top of the Science World panels (i.e. one open space)?

Pacific Centre has a soccer ball on the plaza:

Granville has been dressed up with pennant strings and some scuptural items.

apologies, I wasn't thinking it was your own video, just lately been seeing the trend in thumbnails and AI to be as bold and in your face as possible and kind of miss the days of subtlety, nothing against you personally this is all over youtube these days
