It's nice. The podium is better than I expected. I think the roofline could use some type of treatment. Tower portion is pretty repetitive. Kind of depends how the light catches it. I think in the photos you can see how it can look a little better or worse. For me, anyways.

Podium is top-notch. Tower is quite nice, as you say, depending on the angle and lighting. Can't really see those waves from a distance though. Would have been good to do something different with the top (assuming it will be plain grey cladding), like glassed in with night time lighting or just darker than the tower. Even something bronze or wood looking.

Yeah the fins are surprisingly hard to make out. I'd like to go see it at dusk/sunset when its done.

The fins being difficult to see gives it a slight SOHO Parkway look so I do have some mixed feelings on that.

Didn't see the Soho Parkway reference until I Googled it (know where it is, but my memory of it was off). I actually kind of like Soho Parkway; it's a pretty high quality, slick little build. Kind of funny it was a decently big deal at the time.

Fairly basic building. Nothing "Wow! Wow!" Not sure if I recall correctly but wasn't this going to have some unique waves on it? As usual Ottawa gets some sort of pruned down version of the original design.

They did include the waves. The affect is very obvious and quite striking when you're right on it, but from any distance, the affect is lost, especially in photographs.

To me, the exterior is a step up from the Ottawa average.

It is quite dependent on lighting and angle of the sun etc. JOT13 is dead on about the effect being lost in photographs. It's much more obvious in person.

I still have the feeling the horizontal elements should have been blacked out or minimized in some way. The fins could also have protruded a little further. The basic elements are there but flys a little bit to under the radar.

The podium is fantastic if your into deep red brick and black window mullions though. So from sidewalk level on the same block or close by it really is a nice building.

I still require more roof elements though! Let's go full Dubai just for once.

The second pic in the last set is one of the best yet. That podium and tower work so well together.
