Description

CCOC, through Cahdco, (“the client”) is seeking to develop a 12-storey building with approximately 124 units on the property municipally known as 287, 289, 291, 293 and 299 Loretta Avenue South and 157 and
153 Hickory Street (‘subject property’) in the City of Ottawa. An Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment will be required to permit this development, in addition to Site Plan Control approval.

On April 24, 2026, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that development of the subject property was approvedunder Build Canada Homes. This funding is intended to accelerate construction of residential units to improve housingaffordability as soon as possible. Therefore, Fotenn, on behalf of the client, is requesting accelerated review of theOfficial Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment applications.

This fits in with the area perfectly, there is no reason for it not to be approved when it's surrounded by similar height builds. Get it approved and started quickly!

This one should get approved quickly and easily. Construction expected to start in early 2027.
