Ward 2 Candidates Forum

Video Link

Unfortunate that the Human Development Council of Saint John doesn't allow playback on this website, but at least here's a direct link.

Not sure I'll watch this one in entirety, but I skimmed through it a bit, and could actually see Mohamed Elazab actually getting on council in Ward 2. He might lean a bit too much on his experience and knowledge of how things are done elsewhere in the world, but clearly, Saint John has a lot to learn from other cities and regions around the world.

I'm not sure I really agree with the entirety of his answer regarding the AI data centre, but I think he was smart to talk about the long term job implications of this project, and how Saint John needs to try and attract far more economically productive projects for the local economy than data centres.

I guess questions on the data centre will be expected in all the subsequent forums? (even though the data centre is specifically a Ward 1 proposal)
