amazing what cutting out a lot of the red tape will do (but yes if left totally unchecked across an entire city would be disastrous)

surreal driving down the Burrard bridge now, it seemed like fantasy land when first proposed/envisioned

I just think back to the howls of protest when that billboard was erected in the same spot.

Others have criticized the billboards for imposing a garish blight on Vancouver’s sea-to-sky vistas. Campbell dismisses these objections: “We’re in an urban setting. As we work with developers from around the world that can help us shape our future, we recognize where we are positioned in the global market.”He glances up at the bridge as we turn and walk toward False Creek. “One way or another,” says Campbell, “we are going to assert ourselves. We’re not asking anyone’s permission. If people are reacting to the billboards, just wait and see what we’re planning next.

If you searched I'm sure you find a certain SSP member or two complaining about those billboards.

Sidewalk closures when they do table lifts next to the bridge.

Quote:
Permission granted to close the west sidewalk and SB bike lane in x4 - 10min intervals a day every 6 days on the Burrard Bridge to accommodate crane lifting table to next floor. Expected to happen a total of 33 days (x4 times a day for each floor).

Effective dates: Mar 18 - Dec 17, 9:30am - 2:30pm.

Closures must not impact any special events on the Burrard bridge (i.e. Sun Run, BMO Marathon, etc.).

Please ensure a hard copy of the approved TMP is on site at all times while the TMP is in use.

Permanent advisory signs required. The City will trial the intermittent stoppages and reserves the right to suspend the trial.

The takedown of Gordon Price's comments is sweet.

I believe Jericho is considered "two" pieces of land; Jericho East which is co-owned with CLC and Jericho West which is fully owned by MST Developments.

The other three are:
Kwasen AKA The Willingdon Lands
4165-4195 Marine Drive in West Vancouver and
The former LDB at 3200 East Broadway

I can only think of 6 in total at the moment for Metro Vancouver. I assume the used "Vancouver" to mean the region not the city proper.

EDIT: Just saw your links. Yes those are the ones I'm thinking of!
