Charlotte-based developer White Point Partners and Greystar, headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, said this week that they would build a 24-story high-rise building at 1714 South Blvd. The project calls for 324 apartments and about 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

White Point and Greystar will serve as partners on that residential project. Separately, White Point has plans to eventually develop an office tower on another portion of the site. The rezoning approved this month allows for up to 325 apartments, 365,000 square feet of office space and 28,000 square feet of retail across the entire block.

Construction on the project is expected to begin in December, with an expected completion date of January 2024, Greystar said.
