The current flag of San Antonio, Texas, isn't too terrible:

When flown along with the U.S. national and Texas state flags, it creates the odd processional quality of the the white stars, the blue fields, and the red stripes becoming sequentially smaller the higher the rank:

However, the largely unused coats of arms probably speaks more to the historicism the city would like to convey, even if the arms were drawn in ye olde yesteryear of 1972:

Much more officially used is the city seal, based on an original wood carving crafted in 1925:

If it were up to me, we would be emblazoning our city with more Hapsburg double-headed eagles as is mounted over the historic Spanish Governor's Palace:
