^^^ Aren't there obvious concerns as to whether or not this can be put on the lakefront? I know its not technically in Grant Park proper, but still it seems like it could be a blight. Either that or we could get a really cool glassy futuristic design worthy of such an artifact.

Frankly I think Nasa will end up putting on in the central south (Houston probably), one in Chicago or the Midwest, and one on the West Coast in SF or LA or something. Then the Smithsonian gets to keep their prototype. I'm sure they'll shoot for an even geographic distribution so as many people can see them as possible.

The biggest competition Chicago has got is Dayton Air and Space Museum which has quite a formidable collection. I imagine that Daley will step in and subsidize it if he thinks it will be a big enough draw.
