If you didn't know that Whataburger has a test kitchen here in San Antonio, you do now, especially as it plans to expand its facility near Alamo Quarry. Whataburger plans to expand the 6,137-square-foot test kitchen at 610 West Sunset Road, according to a recent construction permit filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The project calls for renovations to the test kitchen and conversion of existing office space into an "equipment testing lab." It's not clear what exactly that equipment testing lab will include.
